An exhibit of 27 works by 19 artists designed to provide a glimpse into the souls of the creatures with whom we share the earth.
Most parents desire to instill a sense of the sacred, in their children, no matter with what name they address the Deity: God, YHWH, Allah, the Great Spirit, Mother Earth, Abba.
Whether through a Faith Tradition with ancient roots or a very personal, singular approach, imparting a spiritual awareness is most often an important component in parenting.
The way children are taught to relate to animals is one element in their ongoing development
Exhibit - February 3 - May 15, 2018
Every culture, every religion includes a belief in "winged spirits." Guardian figures, strong, fierce, sometimes wrestling with humans, sometimes Messengers delivering fateful news, often protectors, sometimes presented as winsome cherubs.
Exhibit - September 23, 2017 - December 31, 2107
The exhibit includes work of every media, from bronze and glass sculptures to photography to painting as well as digital art. Since this exhibit marks the fifth anniversary of the gallery, the NITW Gallery Ministry wanted to present a show that would invite its audience to stretch in its understanding of art. Abstract work is often shied away from as “not something people other than artists understand.” In pairing that with the broad conceptual idea of GOD, the NITW Gallery Ministry hoped the exhibit would invite viewers to really spend time, look long and dive deep, as it were, into the art.
Exhibit - Winter-Spring 2017
